New Survey on Diversity and Inclusion in the Working Environment

In the framework of the European project PROGEDI (Promoting Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace), and under the coordination of Generation 2.0 for Rights, Equality & Diversity, a baseline survey on diversity management was carried out.

The aim of the research was to study the perceptions and the experiences of employees, the needs of the organisations they work for, regarding diversity in the workplace, the existing diversity management practices, and the general capacity of socially vulnerable groups to integrate in the Greek work environment.
The main participants of the survey – completed on May 31, 2023- were employees in private and public sector companies. The results of the survey are expected to be published in early July 2023!

In addition, the first transnational webinar between representatives of Diversity Charters from other EU countries, as well as professionals and stakeholders interested in diversity management and inclusion in the workplace, was successfully held on May 15, under the coordination of the KEAN. The seminar presented the best practices of Diversity Charters resulting from the implementation of European projects. The presentations delivered by municipalities across the country were also crucial, showcasing examples of tools and practices of integration and diversity management at local level.

Finally, on May 26, a consultation workshop was held, under the coordination of IRC Hellas (International Rescue Committee), with the participation of public authorities, and representatives of Civil Society and companies. This discussion focused on issues of inclusion and diversity in the workplace, as well as the respective policies in place. Also, the participants were informed about the objectives and actions of the PROGEDI project, had the opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences and integrate new elements into their existing practices.
